Description:

Nelsonville-York City Schools serve northern Athens County and a small section of Hocking County located in the beautiful rolling hill country of the great state of Ohio. The district represents the communities of Nelsonville, Buchtel, Carbon Hill, Murray City, and Ward Township of Hocking county. The district has three school buildings and an administrative building located on one central campus. A PreK - 5 elementary school that serves approximately 750 students. Nelsonville-York Middle School houses grades 6-8 and serves 300+ students, while Nelsonville-York High School is a 9-12 institution with an enrollment of around 350 students.
