Why did you choose to serve on the board?

"When there was an open seat in 2009, I chose to serve on the board because I thought it was the right time to give back to the school district that helped make me who I am today."

What are you most proud of about Nelsonville-York City Schools?

"I am most proud of our students.  Despite changing mandates and curricula requirements our students excel and they represent this district honorably."

What was your favorite subject in school and why? 

"My favorite subject in school was history. I love history because I believe as a society we must fully understand our past to build a brighter future. I also had several great history teachers at N-Y!"
